This new illustration is made for my husband’s birthday. There is a lot of reference in it ! 🙂

First, the character is a marauder from the game #pathofexile ! It’s a game that we played a lot together (and still sometimes, but not this league). The marauder is his favourite class and doesn’t show any equipped pants (if you don’t buy an armour skin with real money). When we first started playing,my husband was a bit annoyed by that! 😛 Since then,  we have bought some armour skins. The game is free to play, and we wanted to encourage #grindinggeargames. I decided to draw my illustration without pants… just to be funny. 😛

Secondly, the character has a two-handed weapon, because it’s my husband’s favorite type of weapon in most RPG games. It’s a spoon because he is the one doing the cooking at home. He is a really good cook IMHO… so I said to him that he is my modern hero, because without him I would not  eat that well. I’m not a really bad cook, but for him it’s a hobby so we are not on the same level. (Like in games, he is clearly better than me too 😛 !)

Thirdly, I put a bear bonnet, because since our daughter was born, he has asked for one as a gift for him. I didn’t find one yet that is not made in wool, so it’s the second best way I can give him that.

Finally, the belt has the heart that I put in my wedding proposal. It’s also the one we tattooed on our arm, because we are not fans of jewelry. His skin is sensitive to metal and I always lose everything. 😉
